Storytimes & Early LearningProgram Description
Details
Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month with a Family Storytime featuring Jason Belongs, led by author and musician Jason Schachter McKinney. Jason has a big voice. He sings everywhere—until a whisper runs through his Jewish school: Jason is Black. Is he really Jewish? “Can I be both Black and Jewish?” wonders Jason. As he grows older, he must find a way to embrace all of who he is and rediscover his voice. The story offers young readers a powerful message: all communities are diverse, and everyone belongs. Perfect for families with children in kindergarten through 3rd grade, this event is free and open to the community. Registration is required.
