Enjoy 10 hours of tabletop board games to play! Lots of games to choose from, or bring a game to share. Drop in and out throughout the day.

Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This is a social event for both caregiver and child, as opposed to a traditionally structured program.

Join us for some Saturday storytime fun! We will read a story, sing, dance, and complete a craft together. Ages 3-7 with caregiver. Registration is not required; seats are limited based on room capacity and material availability.

Use your imagination to build creations out of stackable bricks and other materials. Grades K-5. Registration is not required.

Do you want to use a 3D Printer at a Virginia Beach Public Library branch? Register for a required 3D printer orientation with a VBPL staff member to learn how to use the 3D Printer. 

Practice your reading skills by sharing stories with a therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from our selection!  Grades K-5.  Registration is required.

April is poetry month, come and try your hand at this form of poetry. Using the pages of old books or articles cut from newspapers we will isolate single words or short phrases then piece them together to create lyrical masterpieces.

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with an afternoon of seasonal themed crafts. All supplies provided. Planned and presented by the Joint-Use Library Teen Advisory Group. Age 12-18. Registration required.

It’s a paint party!  Get creative with polka dots, and make a whimsical polka dot tree. All supplies provided.
