Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This is a social event for both caregiver and child, as opposed to a traditionally structured program.

Can you see through the illusion?  Prepare to be amazed and dazzled by magician John Kingry!  All ages. 

Registration is not required. Admittance will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Catch some cool colors. Make a rainbow out of white light. Experiment with UV light and reveal numbers with color filters. Presented by Mad Science of Hampton Roads. Ages 6-12.

Enjoy a storytime with a ballet teacher and student ballerina from Ballet Virginia, try out some poses pictured in the book, and then participate in a “mini" ballet class. Ages 4-10. Registration is required.

Give your child a chance to learn an important art that many schools no longer teach. Participants will learn how to form letters, connect them, and write them names in cursive.

Rotating competition is organized by the club coordinator.  Knowledge of chess rules is required; limited instruction may be provided for beginners.  Chess equipment has been generously donated by Virginia Chess Federation, private donor

Join us for a StoryWalk® featuring Here We Go Digging for Dinosaur Bones by Susan Lendroth. Engage in fun activities while you read the story and explore the library!

Love reading? Do want to see how they take the story from page to screen. Join us for our tween book club and the movie adaptation of the book later in the month! This month's book is The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. Ages 9-13.

Play your way through a set of math-oriented games with a game passport to win a prize. Presented by Mathnasium. Ages 5-11 years old. Registration is required.

Theme: Telling Your Story.

A family-friendly dance party experience featuring kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography. Participants will broaden their experience, step outside their comfort zones, and discover new ways to move.

Come and join our Crafty Book Fridays where we will have a Storytime based on a popular book, book series, or author followed by a themed craft. Ages 2-12 with caregiver. Registration is required.
