Graphic Novel Workshop

Students work with a Young Audiences of VA professional Teaching Artist to create their own comic strips. This workshop helps students learning storytelling components, such as action, dialogue, description, inner monologue, exposition and narrative. Students work with the artist to develop a story and plot while learning the fundamentals of drawing. For grades 6-12. Registration is required. These performances/workshops are funded through the Virginia Beach Arts & Humanities Commission and Helen G. Gifford Foundation.
