Join us in a discussion of Libertie, by Kaitlyn Greenidge. The Civil War is over, and reconstruction has begun. Libertie is expected to follow in her mother’s giant footsteps and attend medical school, but she has other plans. What is freedom and what does it mean for a young woman in Brooklyn if she cannot pursue her own dreams? Join us as we discover what truths Libertie must decide for herself.
