Help build early language skills as your child moves from crawling to walking. Storytimes include rhymes, books, and hands-on activities to build pre-reading and large motor skills. Ages 12-23 months with caregiver. Registration is required.

Join us for our Adults with Disabilities Game Day!  An assortment of board and card games will be available. Please note any specific accommodations required when registering.

Get those fingers moving! Build eye/hand coordination skills and muscles in your child’s hand. Practice skills like cutting with scissors, writing, and drawing with fun, festive activities. Age 2 with a caregiver. Registration is required.

Make new art while you make new friends!  Join us for coloring club on the fourth Thursday of the month.  We will have crayons, colored pencils, coloring sheets, blank paper, and fun music. Age 3-8 with caregiver.

Boost independence and develop social skills using writing activities, basic concepts (i.e., colors, shapes, letters, etc.), large muscle movement, and social-emotional learning opportunities focusing on the whole child. 

If you are a non-native English speaker, join us to practice your conversational English in a friendly setting. Each week we discuss a different topic and do fun activities!

Teens 16+ and Adults. Registration is not required.

Bring your craft, your supplies and your passion! Meet other crafters and creators, share your ideas and get new ones! Adults. Registration is not required.

Use your imagination to build creations out of stackable bricks and other materials. Grades Pre-K-5. Registration is not required.

Do you want to use a 3D Printer at a Virginia Beach Public Library branch? Register for a required 3D printer orientation with a VBPL staff member to learn how to use the 3D Printer.  

Practice your reading skills by sharing stories with a therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from our selection!  Ages 5-11.  Registration is required.

Love reading? Join us for our tween book club! This month's book is Nothing Else But Miracles by Kate Albus .  Grades 4-6. Registration required.   

Join us Thursday nights for teen-only activities. Enjoy anime, games, crafts, and more, with different selections each week. Showings change monthly and may be rated up to TV-14/PG-13. Age 12-18.
