Do you want to use a 3D Printer at a Virginia Beach Public Library branch? Register for a required 3D printer orientation with a VBPL staff member to learn how to use the 3D Printer. 

Learn to use our Silhouette cameo 4 desktop cutting machine! This orientation session, guided by library staff, covers everything you need to know to begin reserving time to work independently on our Silhouette Cameo 4 including:

Bring your toddler to engage in exciting activities to develop an understanding of basic math concepts required for school readiness. Ages 2-3 with caregiver.  Registration is required. 

Help build early language skills as your child moves from crawling to walking. Storytimes include rhymes, books, and hands-on activities to build pre-reading and large motor skills. Ages 12-23 months with caregiver. Registration is required.

Help prepare your child to enter school ready to read! This storytime includes books, rhymes, and literacy activities that emphasize alphabet and letter recognition plus activities that support independence and confidence building.

Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This is a social event for both caregiver and child, as opposed to a traditionally structured program.

Bring your babies to explore different artistic styles. Please come dressed in attire that can get messy. Ages 6-23 months with caregiver. Registration is required.

Boost independence and develop social skills using writing activities, basic concepts (i.e., colors, shapes, letters, etc.), large muscle movement, and social-emotional learning opportunities focusing on the whole child. 

Engage your body and your mind! Join us for a monthly walk around Lake Lawson/Lake Smith while enjoying a casual chat about popular books. Talk about titles you like and hear what others enjoy. We meet at the shelter nearest Parking Lot 1.

If you are a non-native English speaker, join us to practice your conversational English in a friendly setting. Each week we discuss a different topic and do fun activities!

Teens 16+ and Adults. Registration is not required.

Bring your craft, your supplies and your passion! Meet other crafters and creators, share your ideas and get new ones! Adults. Registration is not required.

Use your imagination to build creations out of stackable bricks and other materials. Grades Pre-K-5. Registration is not required.

For blossoming young artists with a pencil! Come to this Drawing Club for Kids to draw and hang out. This relaxed environment is inclusive and will have themed challenges/drawing games available to participant in.

Join us Thursday nights for teen-only activities. Enjoy anime, games, crafts, and more, with different selections each week. Showings change monthly and may be rated up to TV-14/PG-13. Age 12-18.
