Do you know what to do in case of a fire?  Join us for a fire safety storytime and craft presented by the Virginia Beach Fire Department. PreK - 2nd Grade. Registration is required. 

Boost independence and develop social skills using writing activities, basic concepts (i.e., colors, shapes, letters, etc.), large muscle movement, and social-emotional learning opportunities focusing on the whole child. Age 2 with a caregiver.

Bring your babies to explore different artistic styles. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy! Ages 3 months- 24 months with caregiver. Registration is required.

Join Ryan the Balloon Guy for this workshop on making a variety of balloon creations. Grades 6-12. Registration is required.

Are you an anime or manga fan? Do you love Japanese pop culture? Do you wish to talk about your favorite manga, watch anime, meet new people, and work on fun projects? Then this is for you! Grades 5-8. Registration is required.

Bring your craft, your supplies and your passion! Meet other crafters and creators, share your ideas and get new ones!

Adults.  Registration is not required.

Who says food can't be used for art? We're using pasta to make a colorful stained window. Grade K-2. Registration is not required.

Get together with other adults with disabilities for socializing and entertainment. Build friendships, offer support, and share accomplishments. This month we will create fireworks paintings & compete on trivia about the US!

Calling all tweens and teens! Feeling craftsy this afternoon? Drop by the library and make some Perler Bead art! Grades 4-12, registration is not required. 

Join us Wednesdays for teen-only activities. Enjoy movies, games, crafts, and more, with different selections each week. Grades 6-12. Registration is not required; drop in any time!

Learn to fly our new indoor Tello drones and put your skills to the test in our drone obstacle course! Adults. Registration is required. Funding for this drone program provided by The Friends of the Virginia Beach Public Library.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Bring your partner and let’s put this to the test! Join us at Vibrant Shore Brewing Co. to paint your partner (friend, family member, coworker, etc.) using acrylics on canvas.

Help prepare your child to enter school ready to read!  This storytime includes books, rhymes, and literacy activities that emphasize alphabet and letter recognition plus activities that support independence and confidence building.

Enjoy a warm and inviting space where you and your child can play and socialize with others in the community. Please note: This is a social event for both caregiver and child, as opposed to a traditionally structured program.
