Build early language and large motor skills through rhyme, songs, book sharing, and hands-on activities with your child. Ages 6-23 months with caregiver. Registration is required.

Do you want to use a 3D Printer at a Virginia Beach Public Library branch? Register for a required 3D printer orientation with a VBPL staff member to learn how to use the 3D Printer.

Boost independence and develop social skills using writing activities, basic concepts (i.e., colors, shapes, letters, etc.), large muscle movements, and social-emotional learning opportunities focusing on the whole child. Age 2 with a caregiver.

Come and join our Crafty Book Fridays where we will have a Storytime based on a popular book, book series, or author followed by a themed craft. Ages 2-12 with caregiver. Registration is required.

Calling all Tweens! Explore STEAM activities and hang out with other tweens.

Ages 9-13, online registration is required. 

Celebrate the 2026 Cherry Blossom Festival by creating a Gyotaku print to take home. Learn about the traditional Japanese method of printing fish and create a nature print of your own. All supplies will be provided. 

For non-native speakers of English. This is a FREE beginning-level class for speaking, reading, and writing English.
