Program Description

Details

Master the basics of home gardening with Seeds 101: How to Read a Seed Packet, a beginner-friendly workshop designed to turn complicated terminology into a clear roadmap for success. Participants will analyze the front and back of seed envelopes to glean must-know information—covering essential topics like germination, planting depth, and sunlight requirements—specifically tailored for Zone 8a growers.

Attendees will receive free seed packets from our seed library and localized planting calendars to jumpstart their harvest. To get the most out of our hands-on "decoding" session you might want to bring a few seed packets you’re excited about and a notebook!

Don't leave your harvest to chance. Turn those tiny envelopes into a thriving Virginia Beach garden.
