Women's History Movie Matinee

Celebrate Women's History Month with our showing of the original Color Purple based on the novel by Alice Walker. Lets revisit Celie, and Mister. Who can forget Sophia's, "You told Harpo to beat me" and then Harpo standing in front of Mister with the black eye. Not that we condone violence, but as Sophia says, "a girl aint safe in a house full of mens." It's still as good as ever with its eventual reunions and redemptions. Starring Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Margaret Avery, Akosua Busia, and Danny Glover. Rated PG13. Adults. Registration is not required, but is helpful.
