Celestial Images: Reverse Glass Space Paintings by Don Malpass, Jr.

A longtime Star Trek and Star Wars fan, Don Malpass, Jr., began building model spaceships 30 years ago. His intricate models are in the collections of several Star Trek actors, including William Shatner, Nicelle Nicols, and Robert Picardo.

Don then ventured into reverse glass paintings, which will be featured in his show at Central Library in January 2023. The paintings are mixed media in multiple layers to achieve the depth of space and the 3D look of the planets, which results in beautiful images that change when from viewed from different angles

Come and meet the artist on January 4 at the Central Library. Adults. Registration is not required.
