Let’s do it again. Calling all adventurous readers! The Virginia Beach Public Library and Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation are partnering to combine reading and kayaking for another exciting book discussion.
Meet us at Stumpy Lake Natural Area, 4797 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456 to leave the dock by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
We will discuss "Go as a River" by Shelley Read. Historical fiction. A story of resilience set in beautiful rural Colorado. What would your life be like if you let it lead and flow like a river?
Book club books are available in print and large print format and audiobook to pick up at the Central Library for registered participants.
Beginning kayakers welcome. Participants are required to sign a liability waiver at the location/event.
All registered participants will receive an email before the event with important information.
Adults. Registration is required.
