Learn how to convert a raster image into an SVG with Photopea, a free browser-based photo editing software. A raster image, or bitmap, includes file types like JPEG, PNG, and TIFF. They are made up of thousands of pixels in a grid. Each pixel has specific color information. The pixels can combine into a complete image (ex: photograph) with a wide variety of colors. SVG is short for scalable vector graphic. This type of graphic can be scaled up and down without losing its resolution. SVG files can be used in several creative ways including importing them into die cutting software like Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio Designer Edition or into Tinkercad, a free, browser-based 3D modeling program. Adults. Registration required.
