Program Description

Details

Join our Master Gardeners to discover the "Magic in the Dirt" by starting a container garden from scratch. This interactive session focuses on the fun and art of the "Thriller, Filler, Spiller" method, teaching families how to transform tiny seeds into a stunning, layered floral display using dramatic Cleome Mixed Colors, vibrant Zinnia Swirls, and protective French Marigolds. Our Master Gardeners will guide you through seed identification, proper planting depths, and the clever use of recycled household items to jumpstart growth. Ages 5 and up.

To get the most out of the session, please bring a clear plastic clamshell (like a berry or spinach box) or a clean 2-liter soda bottle to transform into a mini-greenhouse. You’ll also need a shallow cardboard box for a spill-free ride home and your favorite gardening gloves. Don’t worry if you don’t have any—we’ll have gloves available for you!
