Program Description

Details

Living Room Conversations offers a simple, sociable and structured way to communicate across differences while building understanding and relationships. Rather than debating or convincing others, we take turns talking to share, learn, and be curious.

Come join us for a conversation about race and ethnicity. This conversation series is an opportunity to explore our varied experiences of race and ethnicity in the American context. Where are we and what do we aspire to for ourselves and our communities? Registration is required.

Participants can pick up a free copy of "Stamped from the Beginning" by Ibram X. Kendi at any VBPL branch.

This program is part of the “Stamped from the Beginning” community read series, made possible, in part, by the Hampton Roads Community FoundationVirginia Humanities, the Virginia Beach Library Foundation, and the Friends of Virginia Beach Public Library.
