The Virginia Aquarium offers an engaging program that immerses guests in the enchanting world of whales. This educational adventure is a captivating journey that combines whale artifacts and group activities to teach participants about the majestic creatures of the deep. As the highlight of the experience, guests have the unique opportunity touch real whale bones, providing an awe-inspiring, up-close encounter with these magnificent marine mammals. Through this program, the Virginia Aquarium aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of whales while promoting marine conservation efforts in a truly unforgettable way.

After the presentation by staff from the Virginia Aquarium, Virginia Beach Public Library staff/volunteers will give you the opportunity to take a whale-themed green screen picture. You can also make a whale-themed bookmark or button.

Grades 6-12 and adults. Registration preferred but not required.
