Join us for this posthumous tribute for the artist Isaiah Tate. 

Isaiah Tate Sr., was a resident of Virginia Beach and a self-trained artist who worked exclusively with acrylic and oil pastel. His work is described as abstract expressionism and there is a heavy influence of music in many of his pieces. He was a member of a coalition of African-American Artists and was among the first to show at the Capital Rotunda -Sante Fe, NM. For many years his work was shown through out the Metropolitan Seattle area. He founded the first African-American Art coalition, the Coalition of African-American Artist Northwest, and established the annual Kent Heritage Arts Festival.
