Book Title:  Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J. D. Vance

A memoir of how the Vance family moved from Kentucky's Appalachia region to Ohio in the hopes of escaping poverty.  Regardless of the middle-class life they created, they were unable to escape the legacy of abuse, alcoholism, poverty, and trauma.
